You’ll also be asked to do one of 3 possible reversing manoeuvres The ‘reverse around a corner’ and ‘turn-in-the-road’ manoeuvres are no longer tested, but you should still be taught them by your instructor.
This is a short video demonstrating how to do the Emergency Stop for the UK DSA driving test.
Emergency Stop:
No mirrors
Grip wheel firmly with both hands
Quick,firm and progressive braking
Clutch in at the last moment
Secure vehicle (handbrake/neutral)
Start POM (Prepare, observe & manoeuvre)
360 degree observations (including blind spots)
